Generate design thinking ideas

Overview You are required to form a team of 4-5 students to generate design thinking ideas based on Vineyard. You must know how to use the design thinking tool called Miro (https://miro.com) which was introduced to you in webinar 2 and you have used in weeks 2, 3 and 4. Wine industry in Australia plays an important role for business owners and consumers. It is one the world's largest exporters of wine. Due to COVID 19, Australian wine export fell due to a closure of many restaurants, cafes and bars in the world. Having said that, there is a decline of Australian wines that produce from vineyards due to the climate change and COVID19. To ensure each vineyard is well protected, disaster challenges must be prevented if possible. The disaster challenges include rain at the wrong time like during harvest, results in the grapes taking on more water, drought, frost, pests, disease, birds and kangaroos. As such, sustainable farming methods must identify. You are required to work in a team to generate ideas in Part A based on the following question: “How might organisations help vineyard business owners to build sustainable vineyard farming methods?” For assessment criteria, please refer to the Assessment details Timelines and Expectations Total Percentage Value of Task: 40% A. LO2. understand and explain the role of Design Thinking in facilitating creative problem solving. 2/8 LO3. in a team, design & evaluate appropriate solutions to a real problem using Design Thinking tools and techniques, employing helpful communication strategies to ensure all stakeholder perspectives are considered; LO4. communicate Design Thinking concepts, processes and products using appropriate mechanisms. LO5. explain the business context of a problem, as influenced by business processes and structures. LO6. explore and analyse stakeholder needs for a project and their requirements, through a variety of engagement mechanisms, including those inspired by the Design Thinking approach. LO7. analyse, specify and validate requirements of business and information systems solutions, using a variety of tools and techniques. Assessment Details For this assignment, you need to write a minimum of 1,000 and a maximum of 1,500 words (excluding references, attached article pages, and title pages) to answer the below questions: 1. Research and write three key challenges face by Australia vineyard business owners. (6 marks). (Provide three sources of evidence from peer reviewed articles) 2. Map one of three key challenges and describe your idea of a sustainable method that the team proposed. (2 marks) 3. Discuss how you would validate/confirm that your idea is unique, innovative, creative and new. Provide three sources of evidence from peer reviewed articles. (6 marks) 4. Hand sketch or computer draw your design (your idea) and explain the steps showing it is sustainable, ecologically sound and can improve wind industry economy. Provide two sources of evidence from peer reviewed articles. (6 marks) 5. Each team member writes a half page conclusion in terms of his/her experience on using the design thinking approach. (3 marks)
