ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AFFECTING WELLNESS
1. Environmental contamination
Pollution can muddy landscapes, poison soils and waterways and again kill plants and animals. Long-term exposure to air pollution can lead to chronic respiratory disease, lung cancer and also other diseases. Toxic chemicals which accumulate in top predators may make some species unsafe to eat.
Pollution is the major environmental risk factor in the incidence and progression of diseases like asthma, lung cancer, ventricular hypertrophy, Alzheimer's and also Parkinson's diseases, psychological complications, retinopathy, fetal growth, and again low birth weight.

2. Mining communities

Mining activities result to both positive and negative effects on the surrounding communities. For positive impact, miners employed by mining corporations have a regular source of income. Their families enjoy a higher standard of living.
The risk of collapsing mine roofs, fires in coalmines and inundation are threat to miners. The water sources in those region get contaminated due because of mining. Dumping of waste and slurry causes degradation of land, soil, and also increase in stream and river pollution.
