Starbucks first opened its first store in 1971. They dedicated themselves to striking a balance between profitability and social conscience. They believe in order to be successful they must give back to the community. It is an obligation.

Starbucks purchases and roasts the highest quality coffee beans. They have created a brand that is known specifically for this. They established coffeehouses nationally and internationally. The company is known for its relaxed atmosphere, and exceptional coffee.

Starbucks mission statement is “to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” It caters to culture and diversity. There are two primary rules that Starbucks lives by. They are diverse and customer friendly.
