Bob Beyster founded Science Applications International Corporation in 1969 on the twin principles of satisfying customers and sharing the ownership of the company with those who help build it. Based on these values, the company has grown to $10.1 billion in annual sales and 45,000 employees worldwide. Today, SAIC is the largest employee-owned research and engineering company in the United States.
One of SAICs prime customer is through Government contracts. Due to the recent Administration changes, SAIC has dealt with cuts, slower funding and price reductions. In this climate of constant cuts in these particular programs SAIC and has had to come up with a plan to establish business in many faucets to continue to make money in various environments. Therefore, one of the solutions was to expand into a hot topic in today’s society (GO GREEN)!
