ENG315 Assignment 2.2- Bad News Message

Thank you for your letter requesting a replacement hard drive on July 8, 2012.  Hard Drives R Us values your concerns with your 500GB 7200 RPM 3.0” SATA Hard Drive.  Supplying customers with excellent products and service is first priority.  

After careful examination, it was discovered that although your hard drive was used under normal circumstances, it stopped working after three years, one year past the warranty date.  Hard Drives R Us acknowledges a two-year warrantee on all hard drives when used normally.  Page 7 of your owner’s manual states “Hard Drives R Us warrants the hard drive contained in the original packaging against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Hard Drives R Us’ published guidelines for a period of two years from the date of original retail purchase.” 

Our experienced technicians can repair your hard drive at the normal cost.  Any repairs that we make will be guaranteed for 120 days.  We are confident that we can recondition your hard drive to its original state, and we would be happy to answer any questions that may arise.
