Final Project Instructions

The purpose of this project is for you to write a scholarly, graduate-level research paper in current APA format. Competency in current APA format is required of all business graduates of Liberty University, as set forth by policy of both the Graduate Faculty and the administration.

You will research and write a paper on analyzing the global environments of doing business in another nation. You will select a nation to study, and have approximately 7 weeks to research and write the paper. Please be sure to check the Announcements page for the approved topics. Your instructor will provide a list of approved nations during the first module/week of class. Simply select the nation, and then begin working on the project.

The Final Project will consist of the following Level-One (current APA format) heading sections:

1. Purpose of the Report (1–2 paragraphs)

2. Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability

3. Economic and Socioeconomic Forces

4. Political Forces

5. Legal Forces

6. Financial Forces

7. Labor Forces

8. Implications for US Managers

9. Integration of Faith and Learning

Notice that sections 2–7 correspond to your textbook chapters. Using what you have learned in those chapters as a guide, research and write a 16-page paper that provides a substantive and comprehensive analysis of the International Business environments for the selected nation.

Section 9 of your paper will come directly from your own research of scholarly articles or journals, as well as information gleaned from your textbook. You must identify as well as elaborate on 5 important aspects a Christian manager must consider when negotiating a business deal with a foreign culture and 5 things to avoid when negotiating a business deal with a foreign culture. The use of biblical references is required.

The paper is to be written in strict conformance to current APA standards, and contain at least 16 pages of content (excluding the title page, abstract, and references) utilizing at least 16 scholarly references.

Use the following as the exact title of your paper: Business Environmental Analysis Report: (insert nation selected).

The paper is to be posted in the SafeAssign link, at the end of Module/Week 8. Also, the paper content must not contain more than 15% quotations. It is highly recommend that each student download and read the instructions to avoid any stress created by issues that are the result of waiting until the last minute. Two SafeAssign draft check areas will be provided for you to use to improve your Originality Score, prior to your final submission in the title-link.

Three levels of APA headings should be used throughout the paper, as this is a graduate-level research paper.

Plagiarism and Paraphrasing

Some students do not fully understand the difference between Plagiarism and Paraphrasing. Paraphrasing is when you take a source or someone else's idea and say it in your own words. When you paraphrase you must still give the author's name, date, title of the source, the scholarly journal where it came from, and the exact website address or book.

However, when you directly quote a source, it must have quotation marks around the quote, or (if 40 words or more) it must be set in block quotation format. If you directly quote anyone, you must set it in quotation marks or block quotation and give detailed information of where you acquired the quote.

The paper must not be a series of quotations. Please note the software counts both what is placed in quotations in the paper, AND other material in the paper that is found to be from other sources but not quoted, so be very careful in composing the paper.
