IT-212 Introduction to Computer Networks Milestone.docx (1)    Milestone 1  IT-212: Introduction to Computer Networks  INTRODUCTION  This report is a description of the requirements for setting up a network for Stone Advertising Agency with the offices in Albany, NY and Springfield, MA. They are also adding an additional office site in Fayetteville, NC. This report will provide a layout of the recommended networking structure for opening the Springfield office, and providing for multiple employees to be able to work remotely with access to the WAN.   The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model plays an important role in developing this network because it determines how each component of the network communicates with each other. This model was developed in 1983 through the collaborative efforts of the major computer and telecom companies. The model consists of seven layers.
