IT273 Assignment_1Unit_9.docx  Part One  There are a lot of differences between social media and traditional media. Some examples of traditional media are television, radio, or print advertisement, Banners, cold calling, and many more. Traditional media is a one-way conversation, it allows someone to publish a story or event or advertise a product and have everyone that is listening, watching or driving by that sees the advertisement the ability to learn of what is either going on or what is for sale. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn are some examples of social media. Social media has made it easier to stay up to date on events going on not only with your friends and family but with the world as a whole. You are able to search for events that you are interested in and be immersed in a conversation with others about what it is your looking at on social media.   Given the increased prevalence in todays society on social media covering multiculturalism and diversity I cant help but feel annoyed. I respect that everyone is able to have their own opinion and feelings about any given topic. But in my own personal opinion I feel that even though social media is and can be a great tool, it is also going to be the downfall of us.
