There still is a gender gap between men and women in leadership. This paper will discuss the leadership labyrinth in how it affects leadership today. Leadership labyrinth is the gap in leadership between men and women (Northouse, 2018). In the workforce, there is a gap between men and women with job positions which includes women becoming a leader. Women are still underrepresentation when it comes to being a leader in high-level positions. Even though women have come a long way in the workforce men are thought of as being dominant in the workforce. Meaning of Leadership Labyrinth The leadership labyrinth comes from ancient Greece, India, Nepal, native North and South America, and Europe. It is the idea of a complex journey to reach a goal (Eagly & Carli, 2020). The main point in leadership is the gap that women are underrepresented in high-level leadership positions.
