The French Revolution was a pivotal event in the history of Europe in the 18th century. And, the actions of this period in history seemed to represent rapid departures from traditional political, economic , and social ways of doing things. As you read about the French Revolution, respond to this question: “What was so revolutionary about the French Revolution?” This is the question you need to focus upon for this paper. You might believe that this event was a total transformation or you might believe that there was not a great deal of substantial change. And, then again, there might be a bit of both. You just need to explain your point of view and provide specific examples, as well as citations from the text and the primary sources you use.
In answering this question, you need to consider the causes of the Revolution and the substantive changes that took place.
Your essay should be at least 1200 words and should include two citations from the text and two from the primary sources to be read for this assignment. I don't want any more citations than this, as I want to hear your ideas and words. Choose compelling quotes from the text and the primary sources.
Citations should be properly document according to MLA or APA style, this includes your in-text citations and your Works Cited (MLA) or References (APA) page. Correct citations are important for the assessment of your paper.
